Senior Minister Pushes for Early Completion of Red Line BRT Project

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has reiterated his call for the expedited completion of the Red Line BRT project, deeming it a transformative initiative for Karachi. He stressed the importance of ensuring its timely finish under all circumstances, as the project is a top priority for the Sindh Government and work is ongoing around the clock.

During a high-level meeting in Karachi, which he chaired, Memon emphasized the need to accelerate efforts to complete this vital public transport project ahead of schedule. The Red Line BRT aims to alleviate traffic congestion and provide a sustainable, reliable transportation option for millions of residents.

The meeting included participation from key stakeholders, including Secretary Transport Asad Zamin, CEO of TransKarachi Shumaila Mohsin, international consultants, contractors, and other officials. Representatives from TransKarachi briefed attendees on the current progress of development work on Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the project.

Sharjeel Inam Memon urged all involved parties to collaborate closely and maximize resource utilization to speed up construction efforts. He also called for swift discussions with airport authorities to address any issues affecting ongoing work in the airport area, insisting that all matters be resolved within a week to avoid further delays.
