On Saturday, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar officially launched the online driving licence issuance system in Clifton, marking a significant milestone in the history of Sindh police. He extended his congratulations to IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and Traffic Licensing DIG Iqbal Dara for introducing the service to the public.
Lanjar emphasized the benefits of the system, noting that it would facilitate easier access to learning and international driving licences as well as renewals of non-commercial licences. He highlighted how modern policing initiatives such as this would improve the image of the Sindh police and foster a more positive relationship between the police and the public.
The Home Minister also personally observed the licence issuance process, finding it satisfactory. He praised IG Sindh and his team for their role in this achievement, which he believes will enhance police morale. Lanjar further directed DIG Traffic to address improvements in the city’s parking system and commended the IT team for their efforts in introducing modern policing technology.
