Efforts to Boost the Automotive Industry and Environmental Sustainability

KARACHI, Jun 02: The Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, and Secretary Industries and Commerce Muhammad Yasin Shar Baloch, have announced a significant initiative by the Sindh government to promote the use of electric vehicles (EVs) to reduce environmental pollution. This initiative was discussed during a visit to Yousuf Dewan Companies.

  • Promoting Electric Vehicles: The Sindh government is committed to reducing pollution by encouraging the use of electric vehicles.
  • Economic Impact: Discussions focused on reviving the national economy, particularly the automotive sector, and the introduction of electric vehicles in Pakistan.

Visit to Dewan Companies:

During the visit, the Minister inspected the locally manufactured Dewan KIA Shehzore LCV truck at Dewan Muhammad Farooque Motors Limited’s state-of-the-art plant in Dewan City, District Thatta. This visit highlighted the capabilities and growth potential of Pakistan’s automotive industry.

Launch of Electric Vehicles:

A significant part of the discussion was the upcoming launch of the Honeri VE, a fully electric car, in Pakistan. This launch is a critical step towards achieving sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation. The Sindh government is fully supporting this initiative, recognizing its potential to reduce carbon emissions and promote eco-friendly transportation
