Sindh Braces for Heavy Rainfall as Authorities Act to Prevent Urban Flooding

As a deep depression moves closer, Sindh, including Karachi, is preparing for significant rainfall. In response, provincial authorities have taken comprehensive measures to minimize the impact and address the potential risk of urban flooding.

Karachi has already seen intermittent showers throughout the night and into today. The minimum temperature recorded was 26°C, with the maximum expected to be between 30°C and 32°C. The weather department also noted that humidity levels have reached 92%, while winds are blowing at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour.

Authorities are on high alert, working to ensure that the city’s drainage systems are ready to handle the expected influx of water, aiming to prevent flooding in vulnerable areas.
