Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Issues High Alert for Urban Flooding Amid Heavy Rains

In response to concerns over potential urban flooding due to ongoing heavy rains, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has placed all relevant departments on high alert, according to a report by PressTonight.

She has instructed the DG Khan administration to prepare for possible floods and landslides in the Sulaiman Ranges area and emphasized the urgency of draining rainwater promptly. Chief Minister Nawaz stressed that immediate measures should be taken to clear rainwater from low-lying areas across all cities, including Lahore, and that streets and roads should not remain waterlogged for an extended period. All available resources should be utilized to ensure swift drainage.
