PTI Founder Imran Khan accused of selling 10 additional valuable gifts.

A new investigation has uncovered additional charges against former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, involving the sale of 10 more valuable gifts worth millions of rupees.

Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are already entangled in two separate cases related to the Toshakhana, the state gift repository. They had received 14-year prison sentences in one case, which the Islamabad High Court suspended in April.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a new investigation into the Toshakhana case involving Khan and Bushra Bibi. The anti-corruption agency issued summons to the couple and sent a letter to the deputy superintendent of Adiala Jail to secure their attendance for the ongoing inquiry.

The latest case, as reported by Presstonight, involves the possession and sale of seven watches, including a Graff watch, along with sets of gold and diamond jewelry. These items were sold without being reported to authorities or submitted to the Toshakhana, violating the law that mandates reporting and depositing gifts worth more than Rs30,000.

The investigation revealed that the Graff watch, valued at around Rs101 million, was sold without proper registration. The buyer received a private valuation lower than the watch’s actual worth. An official mentioned that the private valuer did not consult the treasury before the sale, constituting a clear legal violation. The treasury received 20% of the sale price, amounting to Rs20.1 million.

This case adds to a series of scandals surrounding Imran Khan, who faces accusations of corruption and abuse of power during his term. Khan has denied any misconduct, asserting that the gifts were tokens of appreciation with no intent to sell them.
