Petrol and Diesel Prices Expected to Drop from August 16 Due to Lower Global Demand

Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to decrease by Rs8.36 per liter, and diesel prices by Rs7.70 per liter starting August 16, driven by reduced consumption in major global economies, as reported by PressTonight.

The decrease in demand, particularly due to heavy rains in regional countries, has led to lower consumption of petroleum products, contributing to the anticipated price reductions. In India, the significant drop in diesel usage has further caused international prices to fall.

According to sources, along with the expected reductions in petrol and diesel prices, kerosene oil may see a decrease of Rs7.71 per liter, and light diesel oil could drop by Rs4.49 per liter.
