Karachi: The intermediate exams are scheduled to start on June 1.

KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) Chairman Prof Nasim Ahmed Memon announced on Wednesday that intermediate exams will commence on June 1, as starting them on May 28 was deemed unfeasible.

Chairman Memon stated that the board has requested a four-day extension from the education minister. He noted that 21 higher secondary schools have been designated as exam centers.

Intermediate exams will take place in the mornings, while matric exams are scheduled for the evenings. Due to the hot weather, matric exams were postponed and are now set to resume on May 28 at the same centers.

Memon emphasized that it is not possible to hold both matric and intermediate exams at the same centers simultaneously. Additionally, a meeting has been called by Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, which will be attended by the chairmen of both boards to address these issues.
