First Lady and Member of National Assembly Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari, alongside Sindh Provincial Health Minister Dr. Ezra Fazal Pechuho, inaugurated the Monsoon Plantation Campaign at the HM Khoja Memorial Library in Nawabshah. This initiative is part of the broader Green Initiative aimed at enhancing carbon sequestration and reducing the carbon footprint in Shaheed Benazirabad.
During the launch, Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari and Dr. Pechuho planted the first saplings, marking the beginning of an ambitious drive to plant 125,000 trees across various schools, hospitals, canals, and other areas of the city. The campaign underscores the commitment of the government to environmental sustainability and the fight against climate change, with a focus on creating a greener and healthier future for the region.
Condolence Visits by Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari
In addition to her environmental efforts, Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari visited several homes in Shaheed Benazirabad to offer her condolences to grieving families:
- She visited the home of party worker Naveed Latif Abbasi in Moaz Thadal Street to express her sympathy over the passing of his uncle.
- At the village of Faqir Muhammad Lakho, she condoled with Naveed Ahmed Lakhu on the death of his parents, offering prayers for the deceased and patience for the family.
- In Jamali Chowk, she met with Pehlwan Zardari and Asad Zardari of the People’s Youth Organization to offer her condolences on the loss of their mother.
- Lastly, Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari visited Raza Zardari in village Laeeq Zardari to console him on the passing of his brother.
During each visit, she was accompanied by local party leaders, who joined in offering prayers for the deceased and comfort to the bereaved families.
