Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan that resulted in the deaths of over 50 individuals, including civilians and security personnel. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, CM Bugti emphasized that these heinous acts were carried out by terrorists with the intent to destabilize Pakistan, not as an expression of Baloch nationalism.
“This was not about a Baloch killing a Punjabi; these terrorists targeted Pakistanis. They have no religion or nationality,” Bugti declared. He expressed profound grief over the Musakhal massacre, where innocent citizens from Punjab were brutally murdered after being forcibly removed from a bus by the attackers.
Bugti underscored the state’s commitment to standing by the victims and rejected any notion that these acts were connected to a nationalist cause. “These are terrorists, not disillusioned Balochs,” he insisted, reiterating that the state would continue to protect and support the oppressed. The province endured one of its deadliest attacks on August 26, with over 50 people, including 14 security personnel, losing their lives in multiple incidents.
