Karachi Police Arrest Suspect in Polio Worker Harassment Case in Metroville, SITE Area
In a significant development, the police in Karachi’s District Keamari have apprehended a man identified as Nisar Ahmed, who is accused of molesting a female polio worker during an ongoing polio campaign in the Metroville area of SITE. The incident, which took place in the SITE Area, prompted swift action from law enforcement authorities.
According to reports, Nisar Ahmed allegedly harassed the female worker while she was performing her duties as part of the polio vaccination campaign. The seriousness of the incident led to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at the SITE-A police station. The charges against the suspect have been filed under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 376 (punishment for rape), 512 (order to be passed when the accused appears or is brought before court), and 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
