Lahore: Customs officials at Allama Iqbal International Airport have thwarted an attempt to smuggle currency, leading to the arrest of an airhostess, as reported by Press Tonight.

The Deputy Collector of Customs revealed that the airhostess was apprehended with a stash of Saudi Riyals and US Dollars totaling Rs. 150,000, concealed within her luggage.

She was scheduled to depart from Lahore on a flight to an international destination but was removed from the plane after customs officials suspected her of smuggling.
