The Sindh government has unveiled a new initiative to provide interest-free loans to middle-class families for the installation of solar power systems. Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah shared this announcement during a media briefing at his residence. He also took the opportunity to extend Eid greetings to the nation and encouraged citizens to honor the martyrs.

Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah addressed several regional issues, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing these challenges through the newly proposed budget. He assured that ongoing schemes have been given priority and that the promises made to the public will be kept.
In addition to the solar initiative, Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah announced measures to ensure the provision of clean water across Sindh. He highlighted the significant issue of electricity access, noting that over 200,000 homes in the province still lack power.
To tackle this, the government aims to provide electricity to 500,000 people each year. Initially, extremely poor households will be given solar systems capable of powering a fan and three light bulbs.

For families interested in installing solar systems independently, the government will offer interest-free loans, with the Sindh government covering the interest payments. Furthermore, Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah revealed plans to construct two grid stations in every district to enhance the region’s energy infrastructure.
This comprehensive approach aims to improve living conditions, promote sustainable energy, and ensure that the benefits of modern infrastructure reach all citizens of Sindh.
