Foreign Investment in Sindh’s Economic Growth

Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements

The transport sector is one of the government’s top priorities. He also highlighted that a foreign delegation is currently in Sindh, exploring investment opportunities in sectors like energy, agriculture, and health.

Challenges Faced by the Government

Sharjeel Inam Memon also addressed the challenges posed by opposition parties, particularly PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), citing the damage caused by protests, civil disobedience, and sit-ins. He condemned the actions of PTI founder Imran Khan, claiming that such disruptions have harmed Pakistan and delayed progress. “The actions taken by PTI have caused losses to the government, and these funds could have been used for the rehabilitation of people,” Sharjeel Inam Memon remarked.

Positive Developments in Sindh’s Economy

Despite these challenges, Sharjeel Inam Memon was optimistic about the future. He stated that the growing interest from international investors in sectors like transport, healthcare, and agriculture signals a positive shift for Sindh’s economy. The government’s efforts to attract foreign investment, including negotiations with Yutong, the world’s largest transport company, to set up a plant in Karachi, are expected to create jobs and provide more buses for public transportation.

In conclusion, Sharjeel Inam Memon reiterated that the PPP government’s priorities remain focused on increasing investment, improving public services, and creating new opportunities for the people of Sindh. “We are working hard to solve the people’s problems, not just to criticize,” he said.
