After being laid off by Google, a senior technical program manager joined Amazon with the intention of doing as little work as possible while still collecting a substantial paycheck. In a candid post on the anonymous forum Blind, the employee revealed that over the past 1.5 years, he has contributed virtually nothing to the company but continues to earn over $370,000 (approximately Rs3 crore INR).
Despite his lack of effort, he has managed to avoid detection and has yet to be placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). The employee admitted that he took the job expecting to eventually be caught and let go, but so far, his strategy has gone unnoticed.
This confession has sparked discussions about workplace dynamics and the effectiveness of performance evaluations at large tech companies.
