An Islamabad anti-terrorism court approved the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hasan in a terrorism case on Tuesday
The court granted bail to Hasan against surety bonds amounting to Rs200,000.
Raoof Hasan was apprehended by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Islamabad on July 31. His arrest was part of a broader crackdown on PTI leaders and supporters, following various incidents of unrest and alleged involvement in activities deemed as terrorism under the law.
The court’s decision to grant bail came after a detailed hearing where Hasan’s legal team argued for his release. The judge took into consideration the arguments presented and decided to approve the bail request, allowing Hasan to be released upon submission of the required surety bonds.
This development marks a significant moment in the ongoing legal proceedings involving several PTI members, highlighting the judicial process in cases related to terrorism charges.
