PM Shehbaz Sharif Extends Electricity Bill Payment Deadline for Public Relief

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered a 10-day extension for the payment of electricity bills to provide relief to the stressed public, reports Presstonight. The Ministry of Energy has been directed to implement this extension, and the Power Division has instructed all power distribution companies, including K-Electric, to comply.

The extension applies to the July and August 2024 bills, benefiting power consumers for one month. For instance, if the original due date for the July bill was August 7, it is now extended to August 17. Similarly, the August bills, originally due in early September, will now be due on September 17, maintaining a consistent one-month interval between due dates.
