New Monsoon Spell in Sindh with Rain and Strong Winds from Friday to Monday

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a new weather forecast, predicting the onset of another monsoon spell starting from Friday and lasting until Monday, August 12. According to the Met Office, strong winds are expected to penetrate from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, bringing rain-wind and thundershowers to various parts of the country, including Karachi.

The forecast suggests that several regions across Sindh will experience intermittent rain and thunderstorms during this period. The areas likely to be affected include Mithi, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Nausheroferoze, Jamshoro, Mitayari, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu.

The PMD warns that the rains could be accompanied by strong winds, potentially leading to localized flooding and disruption in daily activities. Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay updated on the weather conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this monsoon spell.

This forecast highlights the ongoing monsoon season’s impact on Sindh and other parts of Pakistan, as the country continues to experience varying weather patterns with periods of heavy rainfall. The Met Office will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
