Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, has stated his legal obligation to continue the privatization process of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, he emphasized that the privatization initiative was already underway prior to his appointment, and he is bound to adhere to the established framework.
Khan assured that the government would not sell PIA at a bargain price, and he welcomed any participation from provincial governments, including those of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, in the privatization efforts. He expressed confidence that the process would be conducted in a “better way.”
