Pakistani actor Mahira Khan recently attended the Pakistan Literature Festival in Quetta as a special guest. The event, held on May 15, aimed to foster cultural and educational discussions between the star and her audience. However, the occasion took an unexpected turn when an object was thrown at Khan from the crowd.

While discussing her career and professionalism, the object grazed her side. Surprised but composed, Khan paused to express her disappointment in the lack of respect, stating, “I won’t do any dialogue because you threw something at me; it means there is no room for dialogue.” She then continued the conversation and expressed strong support for a film highlighting the rich culture of Quetta and Balochistan.

The incident, captured on video, prompted mixed reactions from fans. Many expressed concern for her safety, while most praised her poise. Comments on social media highlighted her grace and confidence, with one user noting, “She handled the entire situation with grace and confidence. The reason she is a superstar.”

Following the event, Khan posted a video on Instagram addressing the incident, stating, “What happened at the event was uncalled for. No one should think it’s okay to throw something on stage… It is unacceptable… There are times I get scared, not just for myself but for others who may be trapped in a mob-like situation.” She also emphasized the importance of continuing to host and attend such events to promote awareness and education.

Khan concluded her post by thanking those who attended the festival and expressing gratitude for the love shown to her in Quetta. Her elegance on stage was reflected in her message on social media, encouraging more cultural events across Pakistan.
