The military’s media wing, ISPR, announced on Saturday night that Lt Col Khalid Ameer and his three relatives, who were reportedly abducted earlier this week, have been safely recovered. Their release was secured through the efforts of tribal elders and local notables.
“Thanks to the crucial role played by tribal elders and local notables, Lt Col Khalid Ameer and his three relatives were safely and unconditionally released,” the ISPR statement said, confirming that all the abductees have returned home unharmed.
