Karachi residents should prepare for a noticeable shift in the weather as the Pakistan Meteorology Department (PMD) has forecasted warmer days ahead for the metropolis. According to the PMD’s latest update on Wednesday, the minimum temperature recorded in Karachi was 28°C, with expectations that the maximum temperature will rise to between 32°C and 34°C in the coming days.
The current weather conditions in Karachi reflect a mix of partial cloud cover and sunshine, accompanied by a high humidity level of 75%. Winds are blowing westward at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour, providing some relief from the rising temperatures. However, this relief may be temporary as the PMD has cautioned that temperatures are likely to increase further.
Meteorologist Anjum Nazir provided insights into the upcoming weather patterns, warning that Karachi could experience a slight temperature surge over the next few days, with daytime highs ranging between 32°C and 34°C. Despite the rise in temperature, the meteorologist also mentioned the possibility of light drizzle and rain during the early morning and nighttime hours. Sea breezes are expected to persist, which could help moderate the overall heat during the day.
This forecast comes as part of the typical transitional weather patterns Karachi experiences, with fluctuations in temperature and humidity levels common during this period. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the warmer conditions, especially during peak hours of the day. The continuation of sea breezes and potential light rain may provide some respite, but the city is set to experience a warmer spell as forecasted by the PMD.
