Senior Puisne Judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has firmly rejected claims suggesting he harbors any intentions to undermine or displace the current government should he assume the role of Chief Justice. This statement comes amid ongoing accusations and mistrust voiced by government ministers.
Sources close to Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, speaking to Presstonight, characterized the allegations against him as unfounded, noting they are based on speculation rather than legal evidence.
“Justice Mansoor Ali Shah wants to emphasize that he remains entirely apolitical,” the sources asserted. “His primary focus is on upholding the constitution, the rule of law, and democracy, and nothing will hinder him from fulfilling this mission.”
Addressing the notion that he is involved in any plot to “pack” the government, the sources dismissed such claims as mere fabrications. They stressed that these accusations have no relevance in evaluating the constitutionality of the 26th amendment, should it be presented before the courts.
“It’s easy to label a judge as controversial, but in this instance, there is no supporting evidence. Previous judgments do not validate these claims. Therefore, the accusations are not only unjust but also absurd,” the sources concluded.
