Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Tuesday, mirroring a decrease in international rates. The price per tola of gold dropped by Rs500, settling at Rs241,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs429, bringing it down to Rs207,047.
This decline follows a gain on Monday, where gold prices per tola increased by Rs500 to reach Rs242,000.
Internationally, gold prices also saw a decrease on Tuesday. According to APGJSA, the international rate for gold was $2,326 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $2 drop during the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs2,850 per tola.
For reference, in April, gold prices in the local market reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola.
