Finance Minister Announces Changes to Federal Budget 2024-25

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced adjustments to the proposed federal budget for 2024-25, incorporating Senate recommendations. These changes include exempting stationery from tax and ensuring non-filers are personally heard before blocking their SIMs or preventing them from traveling abroad

While concluding the debate in the National Assembly on the Federal Budget 2024-25, Aurangzeb expressed his appreciation for the Senate’s recommendations and affirmed that the government decided to incorporate them in the budget in the public interest.

He confirmed that stationery items would remain tax-exempt and that the current reduced rates for hybrid vehicles would continue.
