Explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan District Leaves Three Dead and Eight Injured

At least three people lost their lives and eight others were injured in an explosion in Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), as reported by presstonight. The incident occurred on Friday when an explosive device, planted on a bridge, detonated as a police vehicle was passing by.

Casualties and Response

The injured individuals were promptly transported to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Takht Bhai and Mardan Medical Complex for medical treatment. In response to the explosion, a large contingent of police swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation to investigate the incident and ensure public safety.

Previous Incidents

This tragic event follows a similar incident in February, where a blast targeted a police vehicle in Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, KPK. That explosion resulted in the martyrdom of at least four policemen and injuries to five others.

The recent explosion in Mardan underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in the region.
