The Chief Minister Khelta Punjab Games, touted as the largest sporting event in Punjab’s history, will commence on November 1, 2024. This initiative aims to promote a healthy sports culture among the youth, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
During a recent meeting, Punjab Youth Affairs Director General Pervez Iqbal announced that athletes from over 15,000 sports clubs will participate in the games. “All possible measures are being taken to foster a vibrant sporting environment for our younger generation,” Iqbal stated.
In an exciting incentive for athletes, cash prizes totaling Rs 10 crore will be awarded to top performers, reinforcing the government’s commitment to recognizing excellence in sports. The Khelta Punjab Games are expected to serve as a platform for talent development and community engagement, making a significant impact on the province’s sporting landscape.
