Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah Distributes Rs71.252 Million to NGOs for Assistive Devices for Differently-Abled Persons

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has distributed cheques totaling Rs71.252 million to various NGOs dedicated to acquiring assistive devices for differently-abled individuals. The ceremony, held at the Chief Minister’s House, was attended by Secretary to CM Raheem Shaikh, Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) Tauha Farooqi, and heads of the recipient NGOs and rehabilitation centers.

During the event, CM Shah emphasized his government’s commitment to establishing rehabilitation centers across the province to help parents enroll their differently-abled children, fostering their development into productive members of society.

The allocated funds were distributed as follows:

  • Ida Rieu Welfare Association: Rs29.135 million
  • JS Academy of Noor-e-Ali Trust: Rs10 million
  • Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC): Rs11.446 million
  • Autism Care & Rehabilitation Organisation (ACRO): Rs1.557 million
  • Pakistan Association of Blind (PAB) National: Rs9.430 million
  • Special Children School Karsaz of Pak Navy: Rs4.178 million
  • Imran Rehabilitation Centre (Shareef Haroon Trust): Rs3.5 million
  • NGO for Development of Special Persons (NDSP): Rs586,000
  • Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council (PWCC): Rs1.425 million

This initiative underscores the Sindh government’s dedication to empowering differently-abled individuals through comprehensive support and resources.
