Sindh Govt and World Bank Initiate Public Sector Solarization Program

The Sindh Government, in partnership with the World Bank, has launched a comprehensive initiative to solarize public sector buildings, according to the Information Ministry. A meeting in Karachi between Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and the World Bank Technical Mission discussed the project’s progress.

During the meeting, Minister Nasir Hussain Shah announced that the first phase of the solarization project would provide 21.7 MW of electricity to 34 public sector buildings through solar panels. He emphasized that the project’s progress is being closely monitored on a daily basis.

The World Bank Technical Mission delegation expressed their satisfaction with the project’s current pace and pledged full support to ensure its successful implementation.
