Flight Operations Disrupted Across Pakistan Due to Ongoing Protests and Uncertainty

Flight operations across Pakistan were severely disrupted today amid ongoing protests and uncertain security conditions. Several major airports, including Islamabad, Karachi, and Quetta, experienced significant delays and cancellations.

At Islamabad International Airport, five flights were cancelled, and several others faced disruptions. Similarly, flights PK-326 from Karachi and PK-310 from Quetta were grounded, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cancelled flight PK-369 from Karachi to Islamabad.

International flights were also affected, with special flights RJ-71 and RJ-72, operating between Dubai, Oman, and Islamabad, being cancelled. Karachi airport saw delays in six flights, while Faisalabad reported delays in two, and Sialkot recorded delays in four flights.

Lahore airport was similarly impacted, with delays in both the arrival and departure of seven flights, while five flights at Islamabad airport were also affected. The widespread disruptions highlight the ongoing challenges faced by the aviation sector in Pakistan amidst the current political unrest.
