The first photos of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai in her cameo role for the British comedy ‘We Are Lady Parts’ have gone viral. The youngest Nobel prize winner is seen in a cowboy avatar, complete with a hat and a fake horse, The News reported.
Malala’s cameo appearance is featured in Season 2 of the acclaimed sitcom, which premiered its first episode on May 30. ‘We Are Lady Parts,’ written and directed by Nida Manzoor, revolves around a British punk rock band formed entirely by Muslim women.
In a conversation with British Vogue, Malala shared her reasons for participating in the show: it was “probably the first show I watched where you had Muslim characters who weren’t side characters – you had five of them as the leads. That stood out.” She also emphasized the importance of getting her head-covering right, expressing satisfaction with the attention to detail in her appearance: “When I saw the look and the hat, I knew they’d thought about it. I was really happy.”
Her Season 2 appearance also features a song titled ‘Malala Made Me Do It’.
