In a bid to manage seasonal electricity demand and stimulate economic growth, the government has launched the “Bijli Sahulat Package” for the upcoming winter months, from December 2024 to February 2025. Under the new initiative, a flat rate of Rs 26.07 per unit will be offered for any additional electricity consumption beyond the benchmark historical average.
The package, as outlined by the Power Division in its official statement, aims to provide consumers with more predictable electricity pricing while encouraging responsible consumption during the peak winter season.
