Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry Takes Action Against Harassment of Former Chief Justice in the UK

The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has directed the High Commission in London to initiate legal proceedings against individuals harassing former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife while they were in the UK.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for strict action against those responsible for the incident, which occurred during a protest by PTI supporters outside an event where the former chief justice was recognized as a bencher of the Middle Temple. The protest reportedly involved targeting his vehicle.

In response, the High Commission has been instructed to utilize legal avenues to hold the offenders accountable. The Foreign Office has also requested the High Commission to submit names and photographs of at least a dozen PTI workers to the Metropolitan Police for further investigation.
