Federal Troops Deployed in Balochistan for Law and Order

The federal government has dispatched 31 units of the Pakistan Army and 107 wings of the Frontier Corps (FC) to Balochistan in response to a request from the provincial government, as reported by Presstonight. This deployment aims to maintain law and order in the region.

Sources indicate that the troops have begun their assignments, leading to positive outcomes, including the disruption of several Khwarji terrorist groups. This action has significantly contributed to improving the security situation in Balochistan.

The notification for this deployment was issued on October 15 and will remain in effect for one year. The provincial government sought the deployment under Article 245 of the Constitution, Section 131-A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) 1898, and Sections 4 and 5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) 1997.
