Elon Musk has significantly increased his political spending, investing approximately $44 million into a pro-Donald Trump spending group ahead of the November 5 election, according to recent Federal disclosures. From July to September, Musk contributed around $75 million through his America PAC, which is focused on mobilizing voters in key battleground states.
In the first half of October alone, America PAC reported spending over $47 million. The Trump campaign relies heavily on such outside groups for voter outreach, making Musk’s super PAC a crucial player in what is expected to be a closely contested race against Vice President Kamala Harris.
On the campaign finance front, Trump’s team reported spending more than $88 million on advertisements in early October, leaving them with $36 million for the final weeks of campaigning. The campaign raised $16 million during this period.
In contrast, Harris’s campaign has outpaced Trump in fundraising and spending recently, reporting over $130 million spent on ads in early October and raising $97 million in the first half of the month, with $119 million in the bank as of October 16.
Additionally, another conservative super PAC, the Sentinel Action Fund, disclosed that it received $2.3 million from Musk, further highlighting his substantial financial involvement in the upcoming election.
