Case Registered Against Man for Rape of Polio Worker in Nawankot

Police have registered a case against a man accused of raping a female polio worker under the pretense of marriage in the Nawankot area

The case was initiated after the victim presented her complaint in the open court of the DIG Operations in Lahore. According to the victim’s account, the accused repeatedly raped her, but when she insisted on marriage, he refused to comply.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations, the Gender Crime Cell has yet to arrest the accused, raising concerns about the timely enforcement of justice in this matter.
