SBCA Launches 10-Day Campaign to Eradicate Illegal Constructions in Karachi’s District Central

Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Director General Abdul Rasheed Solangi has announced a 10-day campaign aimed at eliminating illegal constructions in District Central of Karachi. During a recent visit to the District Central deputy commissioner’s office, Solangi outlined a comprehensive strategy to address the issue, highlighting that the district has received the highest number of complaints related to unauthorized construction activities.

“We have decided to take strong action against these illegal constructions through a joint venture,” Solangi stated. He emphasized that the operation aims to protect the assets of underprivileged residents, asserting that the drive will send a clear message to those engaged in illegal building activities.

In the past three months alone, approximately 300 illegal rooftops have been constructed in the district, underscoring the urgency of this initiative. The campaign is set to begin immediately, focusing on rigorous enforcement to uphold building regulations and safeguard community interests.
