Tragic Blast in Pishin: Two Children Killed, 14 Injured in Balochistan Attack

In a tragic incident, a blast near the police line in Pishin, Balochistan, claimed the lives of two children and left 14 others injured, including seven policemen, on Saturday. The remote-controlled bomb, attached to a motorcycle, detonated near the deputy commissioner’s office, causing widespread devastation.

The injured, some of whom are in critical condition, were rushed to nearby hospitals. According to Dr. Wakeel Sherani, the Medical Superintendent of Pishin Hospital, 13 of the wounded were moved to Quetta for further treatment after receiving first aid.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and the Balochistan government spokesperson expressed deep regret over the loss of innocent lives in this terrorist attack.

This incident is part of a troubling trend in Pakistan, which has seen a sharp rise in militant attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. These regions have become epicenters of violence, accounting for 92% of all fatalities and 87% of attacks in the second quarter of 2024.
