Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officials are optimistic about receiving the green light to commence flight operations to the United Kingdom, according to presstonight on Monday.

In preparation for this, PIA is planning to operate 22 weekly flights from Pakistan to the UK. The national airline has started the process of inviting bids for in-flight catering services at London, Manchester, and Birmingham Airports.

PIA is seeking bids for at least 6,500 meals for nine weekly flights at Manchester Airport, 7,500 meal packs for ten weekly flights at London Airport, and 2,200 food packs for two weekly flights at Birmingham Airport.

The airline’s advertisement specifies that interested companies have until June 27, 2024, to submit their technical and financial proposals.
