Gold Prices Surge by Rs2,500 per Tola, Reaching All-Time High in Local Market Amid Global Uncertainties

Gold prices witnessed a substantial increase of Rs2,500 per tola on Saturday, setting a new record in the local market. This significant rise has been attributed to a sharp increase in international gold prices, which has further bolstered gold’s position as a safe-haven asset during times of global economic uncertainty.

According to the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of gold has now soared to Rs260,200 per tola, marking the highest level ever recorded in the local market. This unprecedented surge reflects the growing demand for gold as investors seek stability amid ongoing global challenges.

In addition to the rise in per tola rates, the price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs2,144, bringing it to Rs223,080. This upward trend in gold prices highlights the precious metal’s enduring appeal as a reliable store of value, especially in the face of fluctuating international markets and economic instability.

The latest increase in gold prices is a reflection of the broader global economic landscape, where uncertainties such as geopolitical tensions, inflation concerns, and fluctuations in currency values continue to drive investors towards safe-haven assets like gold. As a result, gold prices are expected to remain strong in the near future, with potential for further increases if global uncertainties persist.
