KP Govt Proposes 10% Salary Increase for Public Servants Amid Economic Struggles

On Friday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government proposed a 10% salary increase for public servants, despite economic challenges.

Taking the initiative ahead of the federal government and the other three provinces, the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur-led administration revealed its first budget, amounting to over Rs1.75 trillion for the fiscal year 2024-25.

During the budget presentation in the House, KP Finance Minister Aftab Alam announced a 10% raise in the basic pay for both employees and pensioners.

Additionally, the provincial government declared that the minimum wage would be raised from Rs32,000 to Rs36,000.
