Pakistan Railways CEO Highlights Impact of Weather and Future Plans

Train operations have faced disruptions due to recent rains and floods, but significant improvements are anticipated as the weather stabilizes, according to Pakistan Railways CEO Amir Ali Baloch.

“We have imposed a substantial fine on a contractor who was found storing ice in a train restroom, as such negligence is unacceptable. We are also planning to invest in high-traffic sections across the country, including Dadu and Larkana,” Baloch stated.

He highlighted that the government’s approval of the ML-1 project marks a promising future for the railways. “Given our strong performance, the ministry has set an ambitious revenue target of Rs1 trillion and 9 billion, which we are confident of achieving,” Baloch shared during a Facebook live session, addressing public inquiries.
