The border crossings between Pakistan and Iran at Taftan and Gabd will now be open 24/7

Pakistani Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, announced on Friday that the border crossings at Taftan and Gabd between Pakistan and Iran will now operate 24/7 to boost trade between the two nations.

Describing this as a significant advancement, the ambassador expressed optimism that it would greatly enhance the flow of goods and expand economic opportunities.

On April 24, Pakistan and Iran reaffirmed their commitment to energy cooperation and electricity trade, despite potential U.S. sanctions indicated after former Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi’s three-day visit to Pakistan.
