PM Shehbaz to discuss trade and investment with Emirati leaders

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for an “important” visit to discuss trade and investment with Emirati leaders.

This marks Shehbaz’s first visit to the UAE since becoming Prime Minister after the 2024 general elections. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation including key federal cabinet ministers.

During his stay, PM Shehbaz is expected to meet with various Emirati dignitaries, business leaders, and heads of financial institutions.

Pakistan and the UAE share deep-rooted fraternal relations, characterized by frequent high-level exchanges and strong religio-cultural ties.

Pakistani envoy to the UAE, Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, returned to the UAE last weekend to finalize arrangements for Shehbaz’s visit.

The visit aims to further deepen the multifaceted bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.

On April 18, UAE Consul General in Karachi Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi highlighted the significant role Pakistanis have played in Dubai’s development.

Speaking at the inauguration of an Arabic language center at a government vocational training institute, Al-Remeithi promised preferential job opportunities for Pakistanis in various sectors. He also mentioned that vocational center students would be invited to the UAE visa center soon. He urged students to ignore and delete anti-national videos on social media.
