The Malir Expressway, a six-lane project starting from Jam Sadiq Bridge to Kathore at M9, is 38.661 km long and began on May 12, 2022, with a 26-month completion timeline. Segment-I from Korangi to Quaidabad is 70% complete, while Segment-II from Quaidabad to Kathore is 30% complete. Delays have been attributed to K Electric and SSGC’s slow relocation of utilities. CM directed his secretary to arrange a meeting with both companies to expedite the process and instructed the DC Malir to resolve encroachment and land issues immediately.
