Pakistan and Australia have agreed to enhance their military cooperation, aiming to strengthen ties between their armed forces.

On Sunday, General Angus J. Campbell, the Chief of Defence Forces of Australia, visited General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two military leaders discussed a range of professional matters that are of mutual interest. Their talks focused particularly on global and regional security issues and the cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Australia.

During the meeting, both General Campbell and General Munir expressed a shared intention to enhance military-to-military cooperation between their countries. General Campbell commended the Pakistan armed forces for their high standards of professionalism. He also acknowledged their significant accomplishments in combating terrorism and their ongoing efforts to foster peace and stability in the region. This visit highlights the commitment of both nations to strengthen their defense relations and collaborate more closely on security matters.
